This past weekend I went up to Mare Island for a bit of a BBQ and bike ride with Jason. If you’re in San Francisco I’d encourage you to take the ferry up to Vallejo and see this relic of a US Naval Base.

This port was used heavily during WW2… Little Boy and Fat Man most likely passed through here on their trip to Japan. I’m curious what sort of boat from D.C. gets named “President”. I believe it’s a Merchant Marine boat.
